To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the "Under the Tuscan Sun" benefit evening united more than 200 guests and raised over $110,000 to support the Queen Elizabeth Health Complex (QEHC).
This special evening paid tribute to Domenico D'Alesio, former board member and longtime supporter of the QEHC. Mr. D’Alesio played a pivotal role in transforming the Queen Elizabeth Hospital into the vibrant, community-focused health complex it is today. The QEHC team was proud to honour his dedication, vision, and enduring impact—a trustworthy source of inspiration for us all.
Guests enjoyed an elegant evening featuring a curated selection of fine wines generously provided by the Italian Trade Agency, a series of Italian culinary stations by the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, and a lively silent auction with stunning prizes donated by our steadfast supporters.
The event was made possible by the tireless efforts of the organizing committee, chaired by John MacDonald, Chair of the Queen Elizabeth Health Complex Foundation (QEHCF), and supported by dedicated volunteers: David Birnbaum, François Campeau, Amanda Eaman, Tony Fargnoli, Alexandre Gagnon, Mayssaa Hanna, Nicole Larocque, Rebecca Murray, Irene Tschernomor, along with the QEHCF team: Élaine Lalonde, Alexandra Goldbloom, and Marine Baillie.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our generous sponsors, whose continued support made this milestone event such a success: METRO, Susan & Richard Hart, Pharmaprix Vendôme, La Biosthétique, Robco, BGL Brokerage Ltd, Kane & Fetterly, Lauserco, Globex 2000, James Griffin & Son, Ventec, Formula Growth Limited, Contak Audio-Visual, Richter and Gina Beretta and Family.
We are also profoundly grateful to the Air Canada Foundation and Via Rail Canada for their generous donations to our raffle.
Thank you to everyone who helped make our 20th edition unforgettable.
